mtngeogeek solar powered web services was spawned when a regional land trust was seeking goods and services for their silent auction fundraiser. Soon after owner/designer Lynn Padgett was requested to design several web sites. mtngeogeek solar powered web services has quickly grown to provide a full suite of web site services using alternative power also called green power or renewable energy. Lynn is also a consulting geologist; GIS, GPS, & technology geek; and wetland scientist; and has been providing informal web design for natural science & research presentations for over 8 years. She also has worked as a professional photographer and photo finisher.

If you don't have a domain name or host server we will hook you up! mtngeogeek continues to support local businesses, and local and regional community-minded charities in Western Colorado with in-kind donations and non-profit rates.

mtngeogeek's production studio is located in rural Ouray County, Colorado and is entirely off-grid and solar powered. Web sites are uploaded and maintained using a high-speed 2-way satellite modem. mtngeogeek's broad band host servers are 100% solar powered and have been hosting domain names, email, and web sites of all sizes from their southern California location for over 9 years.
